Well check that out.. a blog post in one day! Happy NYE!! This year was full of great things- miraculous, magical, and blow you away moments. I certainly loved 2013 and I can not even wait for the things to come in 2014. Bring it on :) Cheers!

Fancy Pants

I wore this outfit to a Christmas Eve party. I wanted to be dressed up but I didn't want to wear a dress. These silky harem pants from H&M did the trick. The oxblood color and the little pattern spice it up! I wasn't sure about harem pants because they can easily look awkward if you do not wear it with the right things. This sweater is also from H&M and I love the embellished shoulders! I went with messy curls and a smokey eye to finish it off.

Midi Skirts

Midi skirts are so fun. This is one I borrowed from my sister-in-law and I love the pleats and how it is so flowy. I love that you can basically wear them a lot of places that mini skirts wouldn't be as appropriate- like winter when it's freezing, church, grandmas house..etc.

Ballerina-esque

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas filled with joy, love, and laughter. I also hope that you were with the ones that are dearest to you! Today is actually a favorite day of mine because it is a lets-play-with-the-gifts day. I love to open everything and lay it out and admire it. It kind of sounds like I am obsessed over presents but really I just love to savor the moment and the excitement that has been building up over the last month. I actually do this when I go shopping too... I bring whatever I bought home and I like to keep it in the bag for a day or two or lay it out so I can see it. Haha, I love it. Anyways.. this outfit is one that I wore to one of the three Christmases that we went to. Again, the top and the skirt are pieces that I borrowed from my sister-in-law. (Thanks Kate!) I felt like a ballerina.

Seeing Spots

So it warmed up a little in California and so I decided to break away from my winter colors and wear my hot pink sweater. My sister in law gave me a ton of things to borrow for the next week! :) Sisters are the best. This is especially true when you have a fashionable sister. Anyways, I love this dalmatian spot pattern. I'm really surprised that I don't own this pattern yet. Plus I really love the hourglass figure this top gives you. The loose peplum shape is amazing for giving girls like me curves. LOVE! I chose to do a soft winged liner and a baby pink lip. Also, you may or may not recoginize these boots. They are my amazing knee high boots but here I folded the top over to give them a different look. Gotta love things that do double duty! Thanks for reading!

A Glamorous Holiday

Christmas is almost here! I can not wait!!! I love the holidays. Family time, twinkle lights, chocolate chip cookies, Christmas music everywhere you go, candles, gifts, and generosity. This morning I was looking online at apple pie recipes and I stumbled upon The Pioneer Woman. I've heard of her before but I've never actually looked at her recipies. Wow! Everything looks and sounds delicious and she had beautiful pictures with each recipe. I'm going to use her Dreamy Apple Pie recipe to make a pie for Christmas and I am very tempted to try to make these heavenly cinnamon rolls as well.Yum.

Let's stop drooling and get to this outfit.. shall we? I love this top! It's perfect to add a wow factor to your outfit. Isn't that what we all want during holiday gatherings and parties? The wow factor. It's that little something that puts your outfit above the ordinary. You could also wear tights with this if it's absolutely freezing outside.
