February Favorites

Here are my favorite looks from the month of February! Wow, time has flown by. It seems like it was just yesterday when we were counting down until midnight to welcome the new year!
I think these were my favorite because they are the looks that I decided to try new ideas and be bold. Click on the links to get the outfit info. Turban Style

I got inspired from Zooey Deschanel in the March issue of Lucky magazine! She always looks so cute & I loved this idea of a head scarf/ turban look. Again, working with what I have, I created this look. I'll definitely be on the look out for more cute scarfs to do this look with. The scarf I used was a little long & so there was a little too much fabric but I still liked it!
I definitely got a lot of looks.. "what the heck it that on her head"... haha. But I also got a lot of compliments and people saying "that looks so good on you but I could never pull that off". I completely disagree with that statement. The key to pulling something off is wearing it with CONFIDENCE! Personal style is about having fun with your clothes and trying new things. I think a lot of people stay in there comfort zone (well for comfort but also) because of the statement that they can't pull anything else off. Have you ever tried on harem pants? Have you tried on that thing that you think looks good on other people? No? Well you should before you start making silly statements. Now I know that some things look better on different people because of the way you are built and I totally understand that. But just try something out of the box! Thanks for reading :)

Layered Scarves

I tried this layered scarf look and I love the statement that it makes. I love the different colors together. If you didn't want to make such a statement, you could swap out the tan scarf for a black one that would blend into the rest of the outfit more.
Try the layered scarf idea for yourself! Thanks for reading!

The Weekend

I've definitely been gravitating towards boyish details even though I barely own any! Working with what I have, I paired this army jacket, sunnies, and sneakers (yes I have been wearing these a lot) with a flirty sun dress to give this look that perfect laid back look that says "hey it's the weekend!".

Borrowed From the Boys

Okay, so obviously this is not men's attire. I just took details like sneakers, trousers, button ups, and watches that can be boyish and put them together to give it that cool edge. I loved wearing this outfit.

Stay Comfortable

The sunglasses, booties, and structured bag take these lounge pieces from sloppy to chic. P.S. I'm really loving these harem pants. They are like socially acceptable pajamas. I love being comfortable.

Polka Dots

Here's my last look from my Florida vacation. This day was actually cold and rainy so I reluctantly put on my jeans. This polka dot top is so fun and happy so it made the day better! It has the perfect v-neck cut where it is a little sexy without being in your face and revealing everything. Hope your having a great Thursday before Valentine's Day. A big thank you to my followers and supporters! I love your support and feedback.

When it comes down to it, I'm a beach girl. I always have been and I always will. I love tropical prints and all things summer. We went to the beach while we were in Florida and that dose of ocean air will hopefully keep me going until my next opportunity to visit the beach.

Be Mine

So here is my take on Valentine's day. I paired this sparkle mini skirt with this Creme de le Creme statement sweater with a floral print tank peeking out. I wanted this look to say flirty and fun. The leopard booties go with that vibe. I pinned my beachy waves over to the side for a romantic feel. Swing Top

I am obsessed with a good floral print. I really am in love with this printed top. I also really like the swing silhouette. It looks great on everyone. I would recommend skinny jeans with a swing top if you trying going for the modern look. I am loving variations of the white out look.
