Style Find: D'Orsay Flats

I have been keeping my eye out for the perfect d'orsay flats. When I spotted these in TJ Maxx, I was beside myself! You know when you pick up something off the rack at the clothing store and then you notice everyone staring at it, so you never put it back down? Yes! That was exactly what happened here. I could not part with these babies. I love the gorgeous coraly color and I when things have texture, so I love the suede.

Light Layers

I love that it is warming up and I can not wait to walk around in shorts, but for now I want to get the most out of layering while I can. In a few short months, it will be blazing hot and then I will not be able to layer anything! I love these two tops together. They both have different textures and looks but they are in the same color scheme which makes this outfit work. I also love this cool toned pink lip stain in contrast to the warmer tones. I have a tendency to get to match and you don't need to do that. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Black and Brown

I like mixing neutrals together. It always looks really classic. I also liked added a pop of rust with my scarf when it was cooler in the morning.  I also decided to straighten my hair.. what do you guys think? It was a fun change. Whenever I straighten it, I feel like it is so long and it makes me so happy.  I really want to grow it out longer. Any tips?

From Day to Night

I paired two different floral prints together. I feel like it screams HELLO SPRING! and I love it.  It is so simple to take a daytime outfit to nighttime without a whole lot of effort. Who has time to bring along a whole new outfit for a night on the town? Simply switch out your accessories. I put on some hot pink lipstick, heels, and a statement necklace. I also switched from my fun cross body to a ladylike structured black bag.

Beanie Weather

Okay, so I have never been a fan of hats.. never. I used to yank them off as a toddler and refuse to wear them. I'm not sure why I haven't loved the feeling of wearing a hat. Lately, I have been trying new things and I decided to try a beanie. It was so fun! I really loved that I could hide a bad hair day and that it kept me extra warm. I also decided to wear purple pink lipstick to brighten things up.

The Drop Waist Effect

I'm loving the drop waist silhouettes that are popular right now. I do not own anything (yet!) that has a drop waist so here's how to get the same effect. Pair your favorite A line dress or circle skirt with a sweater or a tee that hits a little below your hips. Voila! Thanks for reading :)

Free Spirit

This outfit was so fun! Definitely out of the box for me since I usually gravitate towards things with structure. I liked the western edge of the hat and the flawy fabric gave this a bohemian look. I layered up with rings and put on orangey lipstick.

Winter to Spring

First off, how gorgeous are these blossoms?! It makes me so excited for spring time! And with the changing of seasons, comes the changing of wardrobes. Time for bright colors (you know I love those), new silhouettes, and new shoes! It feels like warmer weather might stick around for good sometime soon so I'm already compiling a list of spring/summer items that I want to add to my wardrobe: that perfect white button up, perfect fitting shorts that are not too short & not too long, drop waist dress, full skirts, lots of floral patterns and stripes, dainty jewelry, and some great flats. What's on your list?
