Everyday Sequins

Sequins aren't reserved for special occasions! You just have to dress them down. To do this, first I created a neutral color scheme because the sequins are already grabbing a lot of attention. Second, I picked out casual flats. Third, I put my hair in a messy braided pony. And lastly, I kept my makeup simple.

Hot Summer Days Updo

Here is a tutorial for this Modern Athena hairstyle! Sarah from Think Twice Style requested this tutorial. I'd love to hear feedback from you guys, so leave a comment below. (I definitely need to make it louder next time). Would like to see more hair/beauty tutorials? Be sure to give my video a thumbs up if you liked it & subscribe to The Style Paige YouTube channel :)

Business Savvy

Sometimes I think to myself, "it would be so fun to have an office job just to have an excuse to dress like a sassy business lady". Well a couple days ago I got that opportunity to dress up for a class presentation.
I can't say enough great things about this dress! It does what it says: it's slimming. It's also extremely comfortable with material that hugs your body, almost like it's keeping everything in place. I love that it's form fitting but not too short. If it were form fitting and short, it would not be appropriate for the office. And of course it is great quality so it is worth the splurge!

Blown Away

It was extremely windy when we took these pictures. I almost got blown away! Here I am just dressing up a basic tee. It's actually one that I stole from my hubby's drawers so it's extra slouchy and comfortable. This simple black mini skirt, floral blazer, and statement earings dress it up nicely. And who doesn't want to accessorize with fresh flowers?

Maxi Dress

At 5 foot 4 inches, I'm not considered tall, but that doesn't mean I can't wear maxi dresses! I just need to create a little illusion. By tying my chambray at my natural waist (the smallest part of you), I create  the illusion that the dress is longer/ I am taller than I am! Vertical lines also help create this illusion.

Have a happy Monday!

A Little Lace

I wanted to try and get more use out of these harem pants before it gets hotter than you know what! I paired them with this lacey top I got ages ago from Target. There are just some pieces that you gravitate towards in your closet and this little top is the one I always reach for. These pieces are your ultimate style guide pieces. Buy stylistically similar items when you go shopping, because you know you'll get a lot of use out of those items.
Exception! If you somehow keep reaching for that too-big-for-you sweater with cats on the front... back away slowly and throw that thing away! ;) Thanks for reading!

There's just something about white. I love the crisp fresh look of white. It feels so fashion forward to have an all white ensemble. It's almost like it's the new black ;)

Big Hats

I like big hats and I can not lie... ha! I normally wouldn't have picked this hat out but I received it as a Christmas gift and now I love it. It really is a fun statement piece that spices up any outfit. I like that it stretches me to wear certain things. Plus, it covers up your dirty hair! Win win!

The Perfect Shift Dress

I found this gem at TJ Maxx. I was attracted to the bright pattern. When I tried it on I fell in love with it. The fit is amazing! I feel like the shift dress is simple yet it can look amazing with the correct cut. I love the way the sleeves and top part is fitted so that the dress doesn't swallow me up. I also like that it's not too long. Thanks TJ Maxx!!

Modern Athena

My fresh take on a Grecian goddess. I like this combination of the sleek gold jewelry, the gladiator-ish tie up sandals, and the updo. I also love this army green color with my mint and blush floral shorts.
