I'm excited about this post because I'm teaming up with my dear friend and fellow blogger Ruthie from the Ruthie Ridley Blog. She's a fashion and lifestyle blogger and her kids and husband are freaking adorable!! We wanted to talk about the importance of building each other up, as women.

"Girls compete with one another
Women empower each other"

Social media has let us network and connect with others on the other side of the world but it also has let comparison and competition creep in. Who has the most likes on their Instagram photos? Who has the most followers? Etc... First off, we need to stop comparing ourselves to other people. Social media is the edited version of life. People only post what they want you to see. Second, talking bad (or even thinking bad) about another person does not help you in the slightest. It just reveals your own insecurities. I just want to say that we need to stop putting each other down and instead rally around each other!! Ladies we would really be so much more productive if we encouraged and empowered each other to go after our dreams. I know, it sounds a little cheesy, but I believe it's essential.

Ruthie has really been a person that I can go to for support in this fun blogging world. In the spirit of girl power, we've come up with a couple ways to increase blogger camaraderie.
One way would be to plan a blogger meet up with those in your local area. This way you can have a face to face interaction and meet others that love doing what you love to do. You can chat about struggles and successes and learn new things while networking.

Another way, would be to try to collaborate with local companies in your area. That's what Ruthie and I did! We linked up with local Sacramento boutique RIRE boutique. Both outfits in this post are from RIRE. We went to their super cute location on J. Street. It's that intimate boutique feel with the cool Midtown vibe. They have all sorts of different clothes for different tastes: vintagey, edgy, girly, trendy. They have things for the day-to-day and event special occasions. If you live in Sacramento, be sure to check them out!

What's better than looking cute on the go? Nothing. The answer is NOTHING! Well lucy Activewear's got you covered with so many pieces that will take you from the gym, to the store, to work, and even out on the town. Their unique clothes are specifically made for those in motion, who value items that do double duty. First off activewear is so right now, so you don't have to be going to the gym to wear it these days but I love that with their stuff you can get your workout in and look fashionable and cute afterwards. My favorite item hands down is the Studio Hatha Legging in the Northern Lights Print. I am obsessed with crazy work out pants because why not?! lucy Activewear's stuff is all high quality for high performance.  Thanks for reading lovelies! xx

This post is just dedicated to Rocksbox! I got approached by Rocksbox to be a brand ambassador for them and it was when I was really busy so I didn't respond but then they reached out to me again and I actually checked them out to see if I liked their company & they are really awesome.
So, Rockbox is super simple. It's basically a monthly subscription ($19) to get unlimited designer jewelry. They send you three pieces of hand picked (from your own personal stylist) designer jewelry in your box. Then you can swap out your jewels AS MUCH AS YOU WANT during the month for a new three pieces just by sending back your box. Of course, shipping is free too (I know you were thinking there was a catch). They make it so simple by sending you a return label and the package they send your box in can be resealed so you just put your box in the original packing slip, reseal, and put on the return label and send it back. On top of that, they are SO quick! The day I sent my first box back they sent me an email saying that they saw I was returning the first box and were selecting jewelry for my second and the second box came like within the next two days. At the beginning, you fill out a survey of your personal style so that your stylist can pick the perfect pieces for you. They also have a section where you can put things on your wish list and also give feedback on what you loved or didn't love from your box. If you fall in love with an item you can easily buy it by keeping the item and not sending it back.
Overall, I am very impressed with how incredibly simple they make it. Second, I loved the jewelry they sent me and I can't wait to show you guys my second box!! Third, I like to change my looks up often that it's almost exhausting trying to get new accessories for every new outfit. When you use Rockbox, you can constantly be getting the newest trends and styles in jewelry. Lastly, I'm in love with the super cute packaging! Your box has this cute ribbon bow on the front filled with your jewels of course and inserts with cheeky saying and a message from your stylist. This makes getting the mail so much fun.

In this first box I got:
Necklace 1: Moon & Lola Chelsea Necklace
Necklace 2: Robyn Rhodes Taylor Necklace in Purple Agate
Earrings: Perry Street Gemma Studs

I'm finally back to blogging after a month of life chaos. Yay!! AAAAAND I DYED MY HAIR! Clearly if you are here, then you've noticed.. ha! I honestly can't believe I actually went through with it. I am still in love with my red hair and will eventually go back but it was just time for something new. Taylor and I just moved into a new place and it feels like a brand new season of life for us so it seemed fitting to finally take the plunge that I had been pondering. Months ago, I asked Taylor what hair color I should dye my hair (he's seen me with so many different hair colors), and his response was "BLACK!". My first reaction was yuck, no way... that is way to harsh of a color. The darkest I've had my hair is a chocolate brown color. But then after giving it a little thought, I started to love the idea especially because I've never done it before. So then my birthday was in October (24!) and I finally made up my mind. The black hair was going to happen. I mean YOLO right?! At the end of the day, it's just hair and I can always change it. So I dyed my hair and I couldn't be happier!!! This is only a temporary color since I wanted to see if I liked it first, but the next time I dye it I'll go darker and closer to a true black color and hopefully get some more red out of it. Let me know if you want a post with all the deets of my new color! As always thanks for reading& thanks for holding out so long for a new post! xx
